Crafting these new Jewels isn't cheap. Players must reach Torment difficulty levels and find Horadric Tomes within Strongrooms,specialized high-tier dungeons added in Season 9. These tomes unlock the recipes needed to craft Horadric Jewels. But unlocking a recipe is only the beginning.

To actually create a Jewel,players need:

45,000 Gem Fragments (15,000 of each of three specific types)

3,000 Horadric Phials

This crafting cost puts Horadric Jewels somewhere between Royal and Grand-tier Gems in terms of required investment. While random world drops,dungeon chests,and seasonal caches still offer fragments,the most reliable source now comes from the Infernal Hordes endgame event. This wave-based activity ends with a showdown against the Fell Council. Upon victory,players receive Burning Aether,which can be spent on various Spoils chests. The Spoils of Materials chest,in particular,provides a generous haul of Gem Fragments,making it the best repeatable method for farming them consistently.

Nightmare Dungeons with a Twist

Season 9 also introduces a brand-new way to target farm Gem Fragments: Nightmare Sigils with Diablo 4 Gold Horadric affixes. These special modifiers are unique to Season 9 and drastically improve the rewards found in Nightmare Dungeons.
